Ok so a BIG summary of my last few weeks:
My daughter has been having a lot of problems with ear aches since we was born. I would take her in and the doctors would just brush it off like it was only a little red, so less then a week later I would take her back and she would have a bad ear infection. She has had a total of maybe 6 since birth and she is turning 2 this may 30th. Well when this was happening I would take her to the Native American Hospital, you know wait in line for hours and then get treated as if you don’t need to be there. They have such a faulty system. They see to many people and don’t really care about the quality of there work. (or at least at the one I take her to) Luckily she is on Soonercare now and I can take her to a family doctor and she was able to tell me that she had an infection right away. She gave me an antibiotic for her and told me to come back in 10 days, well in 10 days her infection still hadn’t cleared, so she gave me another type of antibiotic to try, well that didn’t work a week later she gave me another for my daughter to try….. finally she told me I could go to a specialist to have her ears check and what do you know she needs tubes. I’ve know this since her 3rd ear infection, why they made me wait this long is beyond me.
I’m completely stressed because my daughter will have to be put to under to get this done. She has never had anything big like this and so I don’t know if she will have an allergic reaction. I dint think she will but as a mother you tend to worry about everything when it comes to your child. This is going to happen tomorrow! I want to be holding her the whole time but I cant even be in the same room, yikes I’m scarred.
Ok that’s one part….
On to my husband:
My husband has been having a lot of pain in his throat for about 3 weeks or so. He said he can feel a lump in there and it hurt for him to talk, swallow, or turn his head a certain way. So finally the pain was getting worse and he went to the walk-in (again at the Native American Hospital)
The walk-in sucks because you have to get up at the crack of dawn run down to wait in line before they open, I’m talking be there at 6:00 am and they open at 8:00am or you wont be seen. He works overnight sift so he cant go to bed or he wouldn’t get up in time. and he has to miss work because he didn’t get any sleep. Why don’t they have appointments!
So anyway the doctor called us back and she didn’t even tell us her name she was typing on the computer and never even looked over or said hi; nothing, Finally after about 10 minutes of ignoring us she got up and did a quick check on my husband then sat back down to ignore us for another 10 minutes. My husband would ask a question and she wouldn’t answer or give a veg answer. Then she said you don’t have strep but so we are going to treat you for pharyngitis only after my husband probing her for answers. My husband asked if the tests showed that he had pharyngitis and she said no but we are going to give you antibiotic for it. Well mind you my husband is stressed about this lump on his throat and asked can I get a CT scan to rule out the lump. She said no they wont do that.
He got the antibiotics and tried them out they didn’t work at all everything was getting worst so Monday night he went to the ER and they told him they could rule over another doctors orders. He asked what they meant and they told him that he was scheduled for a ct scan tomorrow and lab work. Well the Dr never contacted us about this or even told us before we where dismissed about this. So he was pissed. So he had to wait to stand inwalk-in because the appointment was not a time set just a day to come in. We waited there from 6:00am till noon that day. He got his scan and guess what he has a lump in his throat.
It’s a 2.5cm mass in his throat, they don’t know what it is and he has to be approved to go to a specialist. I have heard that they deny you for any outside help the first time requested, I hope this is not the case. So I’m totally stressed out about what this could be. It’s hard to think of anything good at this point.
Now for me:
I’m stressed about my family’s health and our position with our bills. I still don’t have a job, I might be working some contract work soon, but it’s not looking to good right now. I have 2 meetings with this contract position but they emailed me and was like you have to go to these meeting on these times this day, and I got this email less then 24 hours before the meetings. What kind of company will i be working for to not ask if I will be available for the meetings. I mean I haven’t started yet so I cant be expected to be available at any time. My husband is going for another CT scan today, I wanted to be there!!!, but our bills are so far behind I don’t want to miss out on this job. (but I like to make my family first)
I have been having trouble breathing, so my DR told me to get my thyroid checked. That came out find but I’m still having trouble breathing. I called and they said to make an appointment, well the appointment desk didn’t answer and I left a message to call me. That was 2 days ago and no call. I will need to call them today. I’m worried I may be getting asthma or something.
WOW CAN I GET A BREAK FROM LIFE TODAY!!!
Store Presence
May 9, 2009 at 1:01 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentI now have a store presence!! There is a local shop in my town that rents out booth space and when I went to show her what I had and ask about the prices she said she would place a few of my products in her shop (for a small commission fee) to see how they sell since I don’t have much to spent on booth space yet. I can’t wait to see how that works out. I’m not sure how busy she gets, because this is a small town population 2000 but when I was in there 4 people came in, so who knows.
I took here a few products:
2 diaper wreaths
2 sock rose bouquets
5 washcloth lollipops
1 mini “blue whale” diaper cake
and she placed these products right near the entrance so when someone comes in they will see them almost instantly.
It’s going to take me everything I got not to go there everyday to see if they sold.
Wish me luck!

Ultrasound pictures
May 8, 2009 at 3:31 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentToday I had a doctors appointment. I’m currently19 weeks pregnant and I’m having a boy. I have already had an ultrasound but to my surprise my doctor gave me an ultrasound today. OMG!!! I was so excited. I love getting a glimpse into how my baby is doing. I even got to view him sucking his thumb. I truly love my doctor, what a great mother’s day gift for me.

Here is where he was sucking his thumb.

A few new things- Wipe case & Lollipops
May 6, 2009 at 3:25 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentSo I completed a few more items not to long ago, I got a few more ideas and decided to give it a try. I made a couple wipe cases. I covered them with really cute fabric, made them slightly padded and I think they turned out cute. My daughter really likes the girly one. I also made a few washcloth lollipops. They are really cute, and super easy to make.

My husband took my last sock bouquet to work and it sold on the spot, he said almost as soon as he placed it on his desk. He also got another order for a blue one. So I went to the store and got the supplies, so here is the results:
I can’t wait to here what they had to say about it.
